Success Tip of the Week: Speaking and Listening. . . . Are you a good listener?
Research shows that just about 85 percent of all we know we learned by listening. Yet the same studies tell us that we are "distracted, preoccupied or forgetful" more than 75 percent of the time, we're only "really" listening less than half the time and at best we remember only 20 percent of what we actually hear.
The average person listens at a rate of between 150 and 250 words per minute, but we think at 1000, 2000, 3000 words and more!
Imagine getting together with a group of like minded, non-competing business professionals, and giving one another help, advice and referrals over breakfast . . .
Well, that is exactly what we do. And there are no membership dues or fees! Just the cost of your breakfast from Perkin's menu.
Learning how to network effectively is a great way to build your business. By taking the time to meet with other businesspeople and discovering how you can help them and they can help you, you can develop relationships that will provide great rewards for you in the future.
Time are changing in the way the world does business. One thing that will never change is the foundation that relationships are built on through face-to-face networking.
This meeting will run from 7:15am -8:30am, breakfast will be ordered from their menu.
Networking is from 7:15-7:30. The meeting will start at 7:30am sharp with breakfast being ordered by 7:35am.
If you know of a fellow business associate who may also be interested in finding out how to generate more business through "word-of-mouth" marketing, please feel free to bring him or her.
